Event Overview

The 26th ASEAN Chief of Armies Multilateral Meeting 2025 brought together senior military leaders from across the ASEAN region for two days of strategic dialogue and collaboration. Hosted at the Pan Pacific Singapore, the event welcomed approximately 300 delegates, including Chiefs of Armies and senior military personnel.

Congress Singapore was entrusted with providing absolute clarity in communication across 10 languages. With plenary sessions, breakout discussions, and closed-door meetings, the event required the highest standards of reliability, discretion, and technical precision.

"Client feedback was positive, particularly regarding the effectiveness of the AI translation and the professionalism of the delivery.

This project marked a milestone for Congress Singapore, demonstrating increased confidence and capability in delivering complex AI-driven interpretation solutions at scale."

Our Solution

Congress Singapore designed and delivered a fully integrated, multilingual conference solution that combines secure conference audio with AI-powered language translation and live captioning.

Bosch Dicentis wired conference microphones were deployed across plenary and breakout spaces, providing clear, secure audio feeds from key delegates. Bosch Infrared receivers were used for discreet and reliable distribution of interpreted audio to in-room delegates. This approach allowed delegates to select their preferred language directly via the infrared receivers, ensuring an efficient user experience.

To meet the event’s language requirements, AI-powered real-time voice translation and live captioning were delivered via Interprefy. Live floor audio was routed via Dante audio networking into the Dicentis system, enabling seamless integration of AI interpretation across all delegate positions. In addition, delegates were provided with laptops to view live AI-generated captions, further enhancing accessibility and comprehension throughout discussions.

The system supported ten simultaneous languages, including English, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Khmer, Lao, Burmese, and Portuguese. This ensured consistent and inclusive communication for all attendees.

Challenges and Solutions

Platform stability and risk mitigation

The primary technical challenge was the potential for intermittent instability with the AI language translation service. To mitigate this risk, comprehensive pre-event testing was conducted under live conditions. The technical team maintained active monitoring throughout the event, with redundancies and rapid-response workflows in place to ensure continuity should any issues arise.

Managing real-time translation latency

As minor latency is inherent to real-time AI voice translation processing, delegates were briefed in advance on expected system behaviour. This proactive communication ensured realistic expectations and smooth adoption of the technology during live sessions.

Space constraints and complex setup

Venue space limitations required careful planning. A pre-event site visit was conducted to confirm layout and cable routing. Custom table preparation was completed with discreet cable access points for wired microphones, allowing a clean and professional installation.

The Outcome

The event was delivered successfully, with clear, reliable multilingual communication across all sessions. Client feedback was positive, particularly regarding the effectiveness of the AI translation and the professionalism of the delivery. The system performed reliably throughout the two-day event, reinforcing Congress Singapore’s capability in delivering high-stakes, large-scale multilingual conferences.

This project marked a milestone for Congress Singapore, demonstrating increased confidence and capability in delivering complex AI-driven interpretation solutions at scale.

“The client was satisfied with the performance of AI translations and captions, generally understanding the latency of the translation as the AI engine was processing the audio coming into the system.”

“It was an interesting project, and we definitely feel more confident running these types of AI translation projects.”
